The Graphic Mask
This is the image or text that you want to project. It should be simple – the flash only lasts for a fraction of a second, and nobody is going to be able to read your manifesto in that amount of time (unless you’re lucky enough to have a two word manifesto).
The graphic must be no larger than the flash-bulb itself. Either cut your graphic out of some opaque material with a fine razor, or draw it on the flash lens with nail-polish or a paint-pen. Don't use Sharpies.
We made this mask with a laser-cutter, but since there are still a few people out there who don’t have one of these, we may be able to provide a limited number of them if you beg. Email us your graphic idea, and if it yanks our chain we’ll run some off, and send most of them to you (we’ll distribute the rest).
