Connect Your Batteries
Once you’ve gotten everything hooked up, make sure that it works. Your relay should be clicking, and the flash circuit should be making a high-pitched whine as the capacitor charges. The relay might not work with some flash circuits, so it is a good idea to have a few varieties on hand. We know for sure that the flash from the newer Fuji disposables will not work with this relay (they have a red LED instead of a neon charge indicator light), and some of the other circuits just seem finicky. It really shouldn’t be a problem to swap them out if yours doesn’t seem to work.
